I’m Sarah

I’m 35, single, and love to travel. Like many others in my situation I often find myself travelling solo – hence the name – the travelling gooseberry.

I love the freedom of being a solo-traveller; deciding my own timeline, and focusing on things that are important to me. But I also enjoy meeting new people, hearing their stories, and having the opportunity to learn from their experience.

A free-walking tour or small-group trips are right up my street. I also did my first language course in Spain last year. I’ve had so many incredible experiences, met some amazing people, and also learned more about friends I thought I knew pretty well already.

But I’ve only scratched the surface. There is so much world left to see. So I’ve started this blog to share my past experiences, and my future adventures!
